Fisher Brewer

Fisher Brewer is a 23-year-old photojournalist and sports writer for Gamecock Central, covering college football for Rivals on the On3 Network. He previously worked as a journalist for Sports Illustrated and served as the former Creative Media Director for Augusta University men’s basketball.

Brewer has also created recruiting graphics as an intern for UMass men’s basketball programs. He is currently pursuing a degree in marketing, with a focus on combining journalism, photography, and digital strategy.

In addition to his editorial and visual work, Brewer has built a self-started sports media brand with 40,000+ followers and was a finalist for Best Instagram Creator and Best Twitter/X Content Creator by Free Times South Carolina, recognizing his work in social media management and audience-driven content growth.

His work has been published by Sports Illustrated, GamecockCentral, Rivals, On3, MSN, MSN Canada, The Post and Courier, The Aiken Standard, Athlon Sports, BVM Sports, NewsBreak, Medium, and The WeAreSC Show.

About Me

I entered the sports media industry through a non-traditional path. When I got my first opportunities, I didn’t have a journalism degree or follow the typical career route instead, I earned my way in through hard work, consistency, and building trust within the industry.

That approach led to opportunities with major platforms, including Sports Illustrated, and continues to shape how I work today. I’m a huge sports fan, especially college football, and I bring that passion, along with accuracy and reliability, into everything I do and I’m currently in school for my marketing degree

I lead with accuracy and consistency in everything I do. I take pride in working hard, being dependable, and approaching every project with attention to detail.

Beyond reporting and photography, I enjoy helping build brands through marketing, social strategy, and creative storytelling — using a mix of editorial instincts and digital skills to add real value.
